THE CHARACTER STRENGTHS SURVEY

Character Strengths are the positive parts of your personality that impact how you think, feel and behave. The Values in Action (VIA) Character Strengths Survey is one of the leading assessments to highlight an individual’s character strengths (Peterson & Seligman, 2004). This survey measures 24 character strengths which fall under six overarching categories: wisdom, courage, humanity, justice, temperance, or transcendence. By taking the VIA Survey you will discover your unique character strengths profile. Knowing and applying your highest character strengths is the key to you being your best self. Research shows that people who use their strengths a lot are 18 times more likely to be flourishing than those who do not.
We all have a distinct constellation of strengths. Character strengths are different than your other personal strengths, such as your unique skills, talents, interests and resources, because they reflect the “real” you — who you are at your core. Every individual possesses all 24 character strengths in different degrees, giving each person a unique character strengths profile.

INSTRUCTION : Discover your personal character strengths profile by taking the scientifically validated VIA Survey, and share the outcome of your survey here below. This survey comprises 96 questions and takes about 15 minutes to complete. There are no right/wrong answers, and there are no better/worse answers. The key is to be authentic, so that you can derive the most from the experience. Your top 5 character strengths are typically your signature strengths, the characteristics that make you feel energized and engaged.
